went to 2 game stores today and they didnt have it. they only had about 10 pc games as it was, just all ps3 and xbox games.

Honest opinion time, is it worth getting? Im done with bc2 for now untill bc2v so might be after something to play on the odd time that I have an hour spare.

It's very similar to Arma 2, the major differences being that everything is smoother and the game as a whole is a more enjoyable experience. If you hated the pace/gameplay of Arma 2 then you're more than likely going to hate this too. With the Domination mod there's loads less driving/walking and with the way we have it set up you can parachute anywhere from the main base so you don't even need to wait for the MHQ's.

There are still bugs, I think the majority are with Domination rather than the game though, even so I have no problem putting up with those bugs because I love the game so much

Had a game last night with just Nutta and Tudj on normal Arma. I enjoyed it, the slower pace of the game is a welcome departure from BC2.

I love everything about it except the AI. If they see you, you will die without even knowing where they were (which is realistic I suppose) but if you see them first its just like shooting Fish in a caravan. I would bet that if theres enough people then PvP would be better.

Most important thing tho last night was like having a kick around with some mates, chilled out, relaxed and a good laugh. I overcooked my PC again by playing for too long! Anyway I have decided that as I'm more of a casual gamer anyway I'll get OA and just jump on now and again for a laugh.

It took the semi-sentient one forcing us to play vanilla Arma II last night for me to realise that OA is a definite improvement on the original. It's got sexier guns with sexier sights (just ask Goon about the amount of underwear he went through while rooting through the ammo box...) and feels more polished on the whole. It's still the same game at heart with a bazillion keys that must eventually be memorised but with the domination mod once you've got a mobile HQ somewhere near the action you can be getting shot in the head again within a couple of minutes of dying! No more half hour waits for everyone to find the box with ammo for their gun only to have the chopper shot down within seconds of take off. Heck, you can even save your kit at an ammo box (which can be dropped from MHQs and some choppers) so once you've found a gun you like you'll spawn carrying it.

There's a few bugs to be ironed out, but as Tudj says most of them are to do with the domination mod but that seems to be getting a new version almost every week at the moment.

In summary, I'd say yes, it's worth getting if you didn't absolutely hate Arma II. The game is positively therapeutic* compared to BC2.

* Which reminds me, where's Muttaa these days? ...

No I didn't hate arma2 I really liked aspects of it tbh, always enjoyed when we were all on, I'll order it tommorow.
